Wednesday Meditations with Phil, 12pm Eastern

The Wednesday Meditations, once hosted by that Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, are now hosted by me. Join a community of practitioners from around the globe as I provide guided instruction until half past the hour.

The morning meditation series is about to begin a new four-week progression. If you are interested in somatic meditation, consider joining us.

Join Phil for an exploration of somatic meditation. Each Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday (Tuesday, & Thursday are silent practice, Sundays off), 6:30-7:10am EDT, we’ll work with various body-centric practices that help us encounter the meditating body — the part of us that continually offers pure, open, unconditional awareness.

Participants come when they can — some every morning, others a few times a week. Throughout the week we’ll delve into one core practice with variations, progressing over approximately four weeks to a more complete practice of pure awareness.

Meditations at the Smithsonian

For several years, I have offered guided practice at the Meyer Auditorium at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art. Now, about one Friday a month, I offer a meditation on a work of art.

Montgomery College Meditation Courses

If you are a resident of Montgomery County Maryland and 50 or over, please join me for an eight-week meditation course starting Tuesday March 2, 2021. This online course, offered through Montgomery College’s Lifelong Learning Institute, will include meditation practice and an examination of various topics relevant to meditation published by leading experts. Topics may include: mindfulness, the intersection between yoga and meditation, and the neuroscience of meditation.
